About

The Driftpile Cree Nation (DCN) is situated 50 kms east of High Prairie, 72 kms west of Slave Lake, and 302 kms north-west of Edmonton. The Driftpile Reserve is over 15,000 acres in size and sprawls along 10 kms of sandy shoreline on the south side of Lesser Slave Lake. Highway #2 runs directly through the reserve and provides good access to the lake.

 

Mission

The community of Driftpile continues to develop in a dynamic fashion. Many projects continue to develop this vibrant community, bringing benefits to its members. As part of the Regional Council and the ‘take over’, the Driftpile Cree Nation provides various program administration and service delivery functions.

 

Vision

Economic Development self-sufficiency continues to be one of the primary objectives of the people of the Driftpile Cree Nation. Pursuing business and employment opportunities is one process to achieve this objective.
